Well la-di-da asked:
I’m 27 years old and am now starting to wonder if I need medication for my anxiety. I’ve had anxiety all my life, and have always been anti-medication as I wanted to believe that there were better alternatives such as therapy. But now I’ve noticed an increase in heart fluttering/palpitations, my hair is turning gray and falling out which I think is due to stress (already had my blood checked for other problems), and I’m in a stressful period in my life (laid off work, going back to school, taking care of my 2 year old, and getting married soon). If I do end up with medication, I’m wondering what the latest research says on which ones are the best? I wouldn’t say my anxiety is severe (I can usually talk myself out of a panic attack), but its probably more generalized (GAD). Any ideas?
Just wanted to add that I still think therapy is a good option, but may not be feasible right this moment, and I still may need medication. So my question is just related to the medication aspect….

Random GUY asked:
it’s hard to describe but its like a fullness or a dullness of my left chest. THere’s no pain just uncomfortable. I’ve had 2 EKG’s and all came back good and a blood test that looked good. Originally it started out on the right side of my chest but after a couple days went over to the left side. The doctor’s tell me it’s anxiety but my question is, what causes the discomfort in the chest from anxiety?

For example, if one is sitting in a classroom where the class is watching a movie the person begins to feel anxious and depressed, and is only relieved by learning something, being taught or challenged. And I mean severe anxiety, restlessness.
